Appearance: Clear pale golden body, with a dense and rather persistent white head, offering very good retention. Lovely lacing resembling highly etched glass adorns the glass wall. Profuse streams of miniscule bubbles drift lazily to the surface.
Aroma: Strong bread-like and cracker pale malt vies with pleasant, citric hops, offering a medley of lemon, orange and grapefruit. The hop presence is solid, but seems well-balanced against the malt.
Taste: The taste opens with pale and cracker malt and a flourish of citric hops, lemons, orange and grapefruit. As the taste progresses, the hops and malt blend harmoniously, offering a well-balanced tasting experience. The taste draws to a close with a mild wave of citric hops riding atop mildly sweet malt.
Mouth feel: Pleasant and rather full, with soft carbonation and body far superior to that of most examples of the style.
Drinkability/notes: Very pleasant and drinkable, O'Shea's Hoppy Lager is hoppy, without being a hop monster. It would be a good choice to offer macro-loving friends.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce brown glass long neck bottle, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip.

poured from bottle into glass, scant 1 finger cream colored head, good retention and lacing. Clear pale golden in the glass. Nose is faint, picking up cracker and slight citrus. Taste is pretty much like the nose, getting some cracker from the malt, there is an faint citrus twang thru the middle, nothing predominate, but pleasant none the less. Finish is slightly bitter, dry and leaves a faint citrus on the palate. Nice beer, would definitely have some of this around for parties.

330 ml bottle served in a lager glass.
Pours with a clear amber body with a decent, moderate sized white head.
This is a clean, refreshing, well balanced lager with a fruity and harmonious mix of grains and hops.

From the bottle contained in the 2020 and 2021 Aldi Beer Advent Calendar, it pours a clear yellow color with a modest white head that slowly reduces and leaves a touch of lacing. In the nose, it is piney hops and malt. In the mouth, it is slightly bitter with a malt base.
