Appearance: A hazy medium yellow body is crowned by a massive dense snow-white head with utterly superb retention. Fat bubbles cling to the side of the wall of the glass and occasional bubbles rise rapidly to the surface. Scattered, patchy lacing adorns the glass wall.
Aroma: Strong notes of pine and lesser grapefruit hops dominate the aroma. There is some white bread malt, as well.
Taste: The opening is dominated by strong grapefruit rind and lesser pine tar hops. There is beneath the strong hop presence a mild cracker-like malt presence, instead of a more white bread presence that I would have expected. As the taste progresses, the hops intensify, displacing the malt presence. The taste finishes with lingering pine tar hops.
Mouth feel: Soft and very full, quite smooth to the touch.
Drinkability/notes: A solid and drinkable example of the style. Beer number seven of the Costco 2021 Beer Advent Calendar.
Presentation: Packaged in a eleven-point-two ounce brown glass longneck bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip.

From the bottle hat was in the Aldi Bier Advent Calendar, it pours a hazy amber color with a nice white head that slowly reduces as you enjoy it. The nose gets the hoppiness, primarily citrus, of an IPA. The taste follows the nose, with the bite of citrusy hops followed by a light malt.
