Copenhagen 30/10 2016. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Label in the style of old musty pergament.
Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as a thin patchy layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is rich and sweet. Brown sugar, vanilla, wood and quite strong alcohol.
Light carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is quite sweet followed but balanced by by coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet with heavy alcohol lingering.
Kind of thin for a stout - but a nice barrel aged semi-alcoholic beer which packs a punch. A nice vanilla coffee punch.
