Copenhagen 14/8 2023. 44 cl can from Meny, Industrivej, Løkken. Cartoonish illustration in red on the white can with a skeletal lady thinking the paradoxical title of the beer.
Pours opaque hazy yellow with a mid-sized white head. settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, fermented fruity odor mingling with sharp citrus and alcohol. Mango, passion fruit and turpentine. Whiff of alcohol. Grapefruit and lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a boozy streak . Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Potent and boozy. As a DIPA should be.
