Broken Elevator is a crisp and modern West Coast IPA, created in collaboration with MENY’s Øllaug.
The name refers to an inspirational trip where we and the beer guild got stuck in an elevator and had to be rescued by the fire department – a dramatic but memorable experience that inspired this hoppy beer.
The beer is brewed with a simple pilsner malt base that gives the hops room to take center stage.

Copenhagen 19/12 2025. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Dark blue can with drawing of two skeletons in an elevator.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Almost no lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet odor of malts mingling with a sharp scent of citrus fruit. Sweet pale malts and bread. Orange and citrus. Tart and acerbic.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
Not a bad beer to be stuck in an elevator with.
