500 mL bottle, purchased at the brewery / pub on 3/23/07.
A - Deep golden color, with lots of carbonation. Rocky head disappears quickly. No yeast suspension. Carbonation continues, with large bubbles around the edge of the glass, and finer bubbles rising up through the interior - an unusual phenomena I'd never noticed in a beer before,
S - Slightly grainy, but otherwise clean,
T - Clean and malty. Label indicates Hallertau hops used, but they are only subtly apparent,
M - Medium, with effervescence evident on the palate,
O - Nice improvement and change of pace from the lagers typically available in Ireland.

Poured a medium copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured an upfront noble hop spiciness followed by a solid soft malt.
The taste consisted of soft malts and a suprisingly active spicy noble hop.
The mouthfeel was clean, crisp and dry.
Overall a very drinkable and sessionable lager. A nice alternative to Carlsberg and the like.

Had this on tap at the brewery in County Clare last week while on vacation. I found this place great, friendly and comfortable and serving fresh beer. Unfortunately, they didn't have food, and since I was driving the rental car I had to keep myself to one pint. It's too bad, I really wanted to try the Black, Red, and Buzzy Biddys as well. Maybe next time.
Blond Biddy sports a pure golden color with respectable body and head for a lager, particularly an Irish one. Smell is fruity with a hint of spice. The freshness is apparant with one sniff..mint. Also some decent hop action in the nose.
An original taste with strong fruit tones, possibly apricot..making the comparison to Magic Hat # 9 inevitable. This beer is also a pleasant surprise in the mouth..thicker but pleasant and articulate as well. Clean, mild finish.
This is an easy beer to quaff. The low carbonation and frshness are quite amenable to sessioning as you might imagine. A nice intro into the local craft scene, wish I had tried more.

On tap at the brew-pub in Inagh, Ireland. Review by Mrs. ColoradoBobs.
Average sized rocky white head that diminished quickly over a light amber sparkling clear body..
Light strawy malt aroma mixed with floral hops.
Light, fizzy palate, with lots of small bubbly carbonation.
Just your basic microbrew lager, nice and hoppy and thoroughly thirst-quenching. Not nearly as good as Red Biddy.

Strange for a pilsner type. Creamy. The aroma is very fruity, and even the taste; sweet malty, and with a good body. Anyway, it's a very good beer with an excellent drinkability. Tasted in a pub in Ireland.
