Pours a gorgeous red-amber color with a smallish solid white head that lasts with good lacing.
Smell is honey, floral, angel food cake, light hops.
Taste is more honey, light fruit, flowers, and a little light funky earthiness.
Mouthfeel is creamy smooth with subtle sharpness from the carbonation. End notes of fruit and cake.
The best stuff the Biddy Early Brewery has. So smooth and warming, with a distinctive honey palate!
Perilously drinkable -- the bottled version of this is listed as 5.5%, but the handwritten board at the brewpub listed it at a whopping 7.0% when I had it, June 5, 2005.
