Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Chimay chalice. Some woody and citrusy aroma. Light body with adequate spritz. Some flavor of melon followed by lemon rind and dark grain. First it's a little sugary, then a faint sourish note, like something was burnt slightly. Aftertaste runs the gamut from leaf mold to bark. Quite bitter considering the modest aromatics. It's actually quite drinkable if you're not paying close attention. "Look! flying monkeys!" From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea's. Dated 10/26/22.

On tap at Laguna Beach Beer Company.
This one would do the trick if I was at some podunk work retreat with not so good options. Like, yeah, I’d be stoked on it if I was in Idaho - but I’m not. I’m in Laguna Beach. And it’s just... Well, try it yourself.

On draft at a local restaurant.
Medium yellow in color with thin white head.
Aromas are kind of funky but not in a great way. Almost a sour milk note coming through. Some pine and citrus as well.
Taste is somewhat on the grassy side. Some faint citrus notes as well.
Fairly thin though decent bitterness and quick finish.
Certainly drinkable but a bit weak for a ' west coast' style IPA.

Honestly one of the worst craft IPAs I have had in years, and it sucks because it's crafted by my local brewery. Exceedingly bitter yet flat in taste, this beer has little volume or character to it. I was VERY disappointed.
