Had Wild Card Cream Ale at Colludium Brewpub, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on draft into tumbler.
Pours light yellow with clarity and 1/2-finger near-white head, which quickly dissipates to a persistent ring, and leaves a very little splotchy lace down the glass. Aromas of sweet corn then some surprising barley malt off pour, with a bit of hop spice and some orchard fruit aromas as warms. On tasting, begins smooth, with moderate carbonation, and a bit creamy, then nice orchard fruit, including pear and a lot of apple, then a little surprising tropical fruit (I get pineapple and melon), carrying into a mouth-filling, crispy finish.
True to style, with seemingly a bit more barley than typical, and an exceptionally fruity cream ale.
