16oz can picked up at ABV in Hillsboro, OR; first experience with Oak Union
Poured into a Sunriver Brewing Belgian-style tulip
P deep mahogany with a khaki cap
N soft-med nose of vanilla, toffee/caramel, and a cola-like note as well
T toffee, chocolate, and hearty toasted malt, dotted w/ vanilla; sticky toffee hangs in the aftertaste; tasty profile
Mf full-bodied and super smooth w/ soft-med carb
O a nicely done Baltic- enjoyable stuff

Pint can purchased at ABV Public House in Hillsboro, OR. Date stamp reads "11/26/24 OAK UNION BREWING GILTINE BALTIC PORTER. DARKNESS!". Poured in a nonic half-pint glass.
Body is deep brown with burnt orange highlights and a head of thick tan foam. Flavor is full of malted milk balls with a smidge of roast, a splash of coffee, a hint of smoke. Notes of caramel and blackberries with some roasted nuts in the finish. Not too sweet. Creamy texture with soft carbonation in a body that feels a little light for a beer of this size.
A fine example of a Baltic Porter, and even better than I remember from last year.
