16oz can
Pours three big fingers of white head into my Willi. Retention is average but the head leaves a nice film. Lacing is poor. Body is golden yellow, high clarity, with a healthy nucleation. Looks ok.
Nose is pretty bready before it settles, some honey. Noble hops come out with time. It almost feels like there are some excess proteins or starches here. Smells alright.
Taste is a little cleaner, white cracker. Has a noticeably grainy finish, but overall just not a lot going on.
Carbonation is medium-high. Light bodied. Well-attenuated and relatively dry. Bitterness is medium-low. Overall an ok mouthfeel.
Drinkability is alright, it does get very dry though.
Not too many of the quirks last through as the beer mostly settles out, but overall it’s just not a very flavorful Kolsch. Idk not really feeling it.
