When I first opened, it foamed and overflowed everywhere. Once that abated and I poured it, the look is a little cloudy. Dark brown, very little subsequent foaming.
It smells like orange and a little bit of chocolate, and the alcohol smell comes through a little as well. I don’t pick up much of the typical maltiness of a stout.
Taste has a very bright orange. I expected orange, but this is bright and tangy, yet not overpowering. The chocolate is there as well and tastes delicious but seems to play second fiddle to the orange.
Feel is a little flat, I’m sure because of the foaming when I first opened it.
Overall, a pretty good beer, especially if you like chocolate orange - a very orangey chocolate orange.
