Collaboration with Castellum Cellars. Imperial sour porter aged in Mouvedre barrels and refermented on blueberry and Madagascar vanilla beans. Moderate acidity, firm tannins, deep rustic funk, and just enough barrel character. Vanilla softens the finish while blueberry fills in the gaps.

500ml bottle. Label has 'BOTTLED ON 4.14.22'.
Dark brown colored body. Light brown bubbles instantly fizz away with the pour, leaving an interrupted bubble fed ring. No lacing.
Aroma of tannic wine barrel, blueberry, vanilla, and chocolate. Has funk and tartness.
Taste is sour, fruity, and tannic. Flavors of tannic red wine grapes, blueberry, and vanilla. The flavors swell and fade, and make different combinations. One of these combinations yields a sense of chocolate. The grape is quite intense. Earthy and tobacco funk. The blueberry is both tart and sweet, while the vanilla provides sweetness as a counterpoint. The aftertaste fades quickly but remains earthy and sour to the end.
Medium mouthfeel. Moderate tooth scraper. Fruity but ultimately a dry finish. Higher ABV% is hidden. Initial appearance of carbonation with the cap removal and bottle pour but the body gets quiet quickly.
A blend that has sharp and strong components but without a domineering voice. Rewarding sipper because of the swirling and changing flavors.
