75cl bottle poured few times into westmalle chalice
BBE May 2011
A- Amber body with excellent clarity. Head is 2 fingers with very good retention eventually settling to a crown producing excellent lacing
S- aroma doesn't five much away. A touch of toffee sweetness, a little honey and vanilla but no real aroma hop presence.
T- intially after first pour, there was toffee and toasty malt with a dominating hop presence coming through and lingering long after in the full finish. Subsequently this hop presence faded although still present didn't dominate the malt as much. Overall smooth, alcohol well hidden
M- medium to low carbonation, full body, a bit sticky in the finish
D- certainly looks the part but lack of aroma let it down. Initially very hoppy but as mentioned this faded to give a little more balance. I'm not particularly a fan of high abv IPAs,'almost always find them clumsy on the palate and mouthfeel. This was pretty middle of the road, better balance as warmed a little. Not one to refresh but as sipper not bad.

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a yellow color with a huge white head. The aroma is citrus and bready malt. The flavor is bread, citrus, oranges, Belgian yeast and some alcohol. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
There is nothing off-putting in the flavor or aroma, but there is not too much exciting going on either.
