Our Prospectors Amber Ale recognises Tilba's gold mining heritage. The discovery of gold along nearby Dignam's Creek in 1892 led to the creation of the Mount Dromedary Gold Mining Company, which operated in the Tilba area from 1878 to 1910. Remnants of the miner's equipment can still be found in the foothills of Gulaga.

A smooth copper-toned ale with malty caramel and biscuit flavours complimented by bright citrusy hops.

Purchased at the Dromedary Hotel in January 2023, drunk in April that year. This one was consumed while watching the footy, so I didn't get the benefit of my full attention.

L: Dark caramel brown, with a fast-disappearing, off-white head. No carbonation can be seen.

S: Brown sugar, caramel and toffee, and tea leaves.

T: Bitter, burnt toffee, rich, tangy caramel, tobacco and tea leaves, mild bitterness.

M: Smooth and full.

O: Nice (I told you I wasn't paying full attention!).

Cheers!
