This is a good example of a Belgian dubbel. Malty backbone with a little sweetness. Some hoppy bitterness that keeps it from being cloying. Carbonation seemed light, but the acid was still there. The color is rich, but not too dark. At 7.2%, not drinking a lot of it, but the mouthfeel is warm at the end. Blackbird brewers have made a lot of beer at other breweries, so if you haven't heard of them, I'm not surprised. In Raleigh, their canned beer sells out quickly, so if you can get your hands on some, enjoy it!
