This is a variation on Trade Routes Ginger Pale Ale. This version is created by using the Lactobacyllus (sp?) bacteria used in in sour ales.
Poured a cloudy, hazy golden straw color with an inch of head that diisipates quickly leaving light lacing.
The sour aroma hits the nose first followed by the ginger and hop scents.
The initial taste is a mouth-puckering blast that quickly gives way to the pleasant ginger pale ale that is the base of the beer.
The body is not too thick or too thin which gives this brew a pleasant mouthfeel.
Drinkibility will vary greatly with this beer, depending on your acceptance level for sours.
Overall a very refreshing beer that will not fit everyone's palate, but if you like ginger and you like sour ales you will enjoy this refresher.
