White Smoke

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy, bright golden orange color and sports a half finger cap of bright white, frothy foam with swirling rings of lacing inside the glass. The nose offers lemon, tangerine, melon, and soft floral hops. Its taste is fruity with notes of lemon, grapefruit, ripe cantaloupe, and red berry, over a firm, fairly sweet malt base with just a hint of pepper. The bitterness is mild and clean. The mouth feel is lite and fairly crisp with pleasant carbonation, and it's a very easy drinker at 6% ABV. A second pour is not an issue. Overall, White Smoke grew on me with every sip. Lots of flavor and a great, almost sessionable, feel. I'm glad that Autodidact has canned it. I could see it becoming a staple for the brewery.
