Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a Will Becher glass. It pours a hazy, dirty tangerine color with a full finger of milky white head and lots of thick, clinging lacing. Its fragrant with scents of lemon, grapefruit, pine needles, and a whiff of stone fruit which increases as it warms in the glass. The taste is earthy with fruity notes of lemon, grapefruit, red berry, and a hint of peach. It's on the sweet side. Beneath is a solid, woodsy malt base with mild bitterness throughout. It's very well-balanced. This ale has a nice, creamy mouth feel with appropriate carbonation, and at 6% ABV a second pour is no issue. Overall, this is a solid and enjoyable American IPA that does a fine job showcasing the workhorse Simcoe hop.
