Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Side pull. Served in a seidel mug. It has a lovely appearance: a clear, bright gold color with a half finger of creamy, snow white head and lots of thick, long-lasting lacing. The smell is grainy with a whiff of lemon. Its taste is spot-on: toasted bread with a hint of lemon peel, and the Saaz hops provide a strong balancing bitter bite. While simple, there is a great depth of flavor. The mouth feel is well-bodied and crisp and easily drinkable at only 4.3% ABV. Overall, I commend Autodidact for brewing this rather obscure style. And they did a great job. This is a most enjoyable beer.
