Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It is dirty tangerine in color with more than a finger of thick, fluffy, milk-white head and very thick lacing. It has a fragrant smell featuring lemon, pineapple, tangerine, and berry. The taste is big and bold with tart lemon and grapefruit, sweeter notes of tangerine and coconut, pine sap, and herbal spices. There is a sharp, biting bitterness throughout. The Citra, Cashmere, and Rakau hops work well together. This ale has a luxuriously creamy mouth feel with lively carbonation for the style, and it is very drinkable at 7% ABV. Overall, Beyond the Pines is a big, bold, and thoroughly enjoyable New England IPA.

On tap at the source, a good hop mix, hazy standard ale. Decent drinkability. No complaints, but getting a bit of fullness and burn from these hoppy ones.

Had at their taproom which I enjoyed so much I brought a 4 pack home. Poured from a pint can into a standard pint glass, a hazy straw color with lots of visible carbonation, a big puffy white head that dissipated rather quickly and left small spotty lacing. Nose is citrusy, piney with light hints grains up front and stone fruits and berries in the background. Taste is bitter throughout with nice floral notes in the finish. Medium in body with descent carbonation tickle on the tongue. A very enjoyable brew.
