A hefty dose of flaked oats and wheat create a lush bed for Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy hops to radiate outward into the universe.

On draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It is an opaque, pastel orange with a half finger cap of foamy, bright white foam and lots of thick, clinging lacing. The smell includes lemon, tangerine, and red berry. Its taste is dry and tart with lemon peel, grapefruit, pine needles, and grassy, herbal notes. I'm not tasting the tropical fruit usually associated with Galaxy hops. There is mild, clean bitterness throughout. This ale is crisp and moderate in body and carbonation. It doesn't drink like 8.8% ABV. Overall, while not at the level of Autodidact's best DIPAs, Irradiated Sands is tasty and a good summertime DIPA.
