Brewed with a heaving dose of oats and wheat for a pillowy smooth base and then hopped with every kind of Citra we could find, this one oozes with mounds and mounds of orange marmalade, citrus zest, ripened mango, and fresh pineapple juice.

Reviewed 2 days after canning. Poured into a tulip glass. It is a dense, opaque, bright tangerine with a full finger, bright white, fluffy head and thick lacing. The nose is pure Citra with big notes of lemon, grapefruit, lime, peach, melon, and tropical fruits. The taste is bold and powerfully Citra-forward with lots of tart lemon, lime, and grapefruit, balanced by some sweet fruit, including pineapple, passion fruit ,and ripe honeydew. It just pops! The bitterness is sharp but clean. For ia TIPA, its mouth feel is surprisingly lite and crisp. And the 10.2% ABV doesn't distract. Overall, Tactical Nuke is a superb all-Citra TIPA. It is a joy to drink on a warm summer day.
