Brewed with Pilsner, Vienna, and a touch of Rye this West Coast IPA has been copiously hopped up with Columbus, Chinook, and Simcoe hops for an all around classic West Coast IPA. Sipping super clean with loads of hop oils soaking up every sip and finishing balanced and dry with the perfect touch of bitterness and tones of lovely Vienna and Rye malts shining through the mix.

On draught at the brewery on release day Served in a snulip glass. It pours a cloudy, bright orange color with a a half finger cap of ecru-colored foam and elegant, soapy lacing. The nose is subdued with pine needles, lemon, grapefruit, and sweet malt. Its taste opens on the malty side, with modest bready sweetness. However, by mid-sip the initial sweetness is overcome by sharp hoppy bitterness and pine sap. With each sip the bitterness increases leaving a classic West Coast after taste. So it is well balanced. This ale is lite and crisp with moderate carbonation, and the 7.1% ABV is no obstacle to continued drinking. Overall, while I was underwhelmed at first, I liked Acquiesce more with every sip. It is a fine local example of a classic West Coast IPA.
