Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a mug. It is hazy and amber in color with a half finger of creamy, ecru-colored head and lots of thick, soapy lacing. An attractive pour. The smell is modest with notes of toffee and nuts. Its taste nicely balances toffee sweetness and the bitterness of burnt nuts. It boasts a thick, creamy mouthfeel that belies the 5.4% ABV. Overall, Flume is a solid Amber Ale and is a good balance to Autodidact's big IPAs.
