Sampled 12/31/2010 at the brewpub.
Pours dark brown going on black, opaque, tan head, decent retention, good lacing.
Aroma is roasted coffee, chocolate, booze, and caramel.
Flavor is an Irish stout on steroids (+5% abv). Roast, dry, medium bitterness, coffee, some chocolate, plenty of sugar and booze.
Body is kind of heavy and I suspect the brewing process as the culprit for poor utilization of drinkability.
