Hidden Gate lives to it's name (sort of) that it's just off the main road (Elm Street), which seems to be the city's bars and clubs district. Free parking is limited in the area, but there is a large paid parking area just down the street from the brewery. I would not expect a brewery in its location if I didn't look hard. A small food truck helps get the attention from the street.
It was a Friday night when we went, bit it never got even got half busy here. Nowhere near as hopping as the rest of the immediate area. The interior is standard for a brewery tasting room; I'm so whelmed. There are large doors open where you can walk outside with your drink and get involved with the large board of Connect 4. As brought up earlier, there is a small food truck outside as well, but it wasn't in operation which surprised as it was Friday night.
Over a dozen tap beer plus cans to go. A little more interesting in variety than the typical tasting room, as pouring included an Irish Red, pineapple gose, porter, saison, as well as variants of IPA and stout. I ordered the porter and got mine served into a nonic pint glass. Cheers for avoiding the shaker pint. Also cheers for serving cocktails and whiskey, as this made two members of my group happy.
A pleasant night out. I would have loved to taste more and see what they can do with other styles.
