A blend of premium Belgian malts, plus German and Pacific Northwest hop varieties gives this luscious, copper-hued ale a wonderful complex aroma, a rich depth of flavour and smooth drinkability.

20oz pint at the brewery 2-6-23.
Copper body with good clarity and a thin, white sudsy ring of a head. Buttery nose with just a hint of a hoppy aroma behind it. Struggled through a 20oz pint with lunch, couldn;t get past the buttery note in the nose and flavor. Not Good.

I was really intrigued by this one, Belgian malts, German & American hops? Would it be like a Sticke Alt, or maybe a Brooklyn Lager?
Well, it was neither, but it was certainly unique. Some crystal like malt flavour works, and the nobel spicing is nice, with just a bit of citrus-like american flavour.
I like it when brewers think outside the box, and this may have been to their taste, but personally I'd rework it a bit. As much as I love German hops, I'd ditch them, and amp up the American varieties.

On tap at the brewpub, IBU of 25. Copper coloured body with a drop of white head. No aroma. Big carbonation and mostly malty. A little lace. A bit of hops, but too much carbonation and malt. A little toasty malt. Fresh and OK drinkability, nothing special.
