Not sure if this is the same as the "Happy Hooligan Double" but this beer was sold to me as "Jolly Hooligan." It was also advertised as an English style ale.

Served in a tulip glass, it presented a deep copper colour, not dissimilar to a brown ale, and perhaps a bit darker than a true winter warmer. The scent is of malts, hints of plum and spice.

This is a nice, warming beer that is great when its blowing snow outside. Malty, with hop presence and spice. This actually tastes like a brown ale or a mild that has been charged up for winter. Coffee and vanilla tones abound, with the essence of cloves, nutmeg and other christmas spices present.

Fairly well done, but there are some alcoholic hints to it, and as it warms it seems to be a little bit thin.
