It looks like a Brown Ale but the hops come out after a few sips. This is much like the IDA from Phillips though it seems more carbonated. The bitterness is a little much on the finish but I really like the mix of lots of malt and hops. This beer also will handle pretty much any food on the table.

I'm not sure if this has a catchy name like the others, but this and one other were offered as seasonals by my server. She seemed to know a decent amount about what was on tap. My friend ordered a Downtown Brown and the two looked almost the same: ruby-mahagony colour, quite clear, with a decent off-white head.
Bitter, hoppy smell almost like an IPA. Maybe this is the "imperial" aspect. It didn't quite fit the style.
Taste was a pleasant blending of a brown and an IPA. Bitter, zesty and hoppy, but the malt profile was quite apparent. Carbonation was just right, and this was a nice sipper with dinner. Drinkability was hampered at times by an awkward bitter aftertaste possibly from a little too much hops, but this overall was a pleasant experience.
