32oz crowler filled at World Wines & Liquor in Mentor, Ohio. Crowler poured into a tulip. Pours golden with nice clarity and transparency with bubbles racing upwards; nice creamy off-white head that falls slowly leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice amount of citrus going on. Subtle hints of caramel. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose for the most part. Lots of pine. Fresh pine needles along with some pine sap. This one is pretty resinous. Lots of citrus as well. Orange, lemon and grapefruit coming through. More subtle hints of caramel. Solid malt backbone. Solid scathing bitterness. Solid hop flavors. Mild warmth and alcohol notes, but it's nothing crazy or over the top. Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy and slightly creamy. It drinks big.
This is a pretty solid DIPA. This one is definitely a classic and "old school" example of the style, which is just fine. It's very bold without being flashy. Not bad at all.

Appearance: slightly hazy orange color with a 1/2" head that breaks down quickly.
Smell: citrus and some floral qualities are detectable.
Taste: caramel, orange, lemon zest, and a floral bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium in body. Lightly crisp throughout. Some dryness arrives late.
Overall: a really enjoyable and well balanced DIPA.

Comes in a hazy golden orange color with a creamy off white head. Near perfect retention with tons of lacing.
The aroma offers bright and fresh orange and grapefruit zest, some pineapple, mango, and apricot; toasty, sweet bready malt with some pine.
Big orange and grapefruit upfront, accompanied by some mango and pineapple. Pine, earth, and weed dankness in the middle lead to a smooth, citrusy, orange creamsicle climax, supported by a honey/caramel, lightly sweet malt backbone. Finishes piney, grapefruity, and dank, moderately long residual bitterness, but tapered by smooth orange sweetness.
The mouthfeel is smooth, rich, rounded. Well-carbonated, flows smoothly, leaving the palate lightly dry with lingering hop and citrus oils.
Really good for a citrus-fruited DIPA. The fruit additions don't overpower the hops, they really do merely compliment them. Awesome citrus, dank, and tropical fruit presence of the hops complimented by the smooth bittersweetness of actual citrus. A good DIPA.

Hazy orange-amber, with very fine,creamy, off-white head & lacing.
Smell is somewhat muted. (Not refrigerated - from a cool storage room 45-50F) What there is is resiny ,floral, with a slight bit of tangerine & "dank".
Taste? Pretty much follows the nose, with resin/solvent being predominate. Too much so at first, but am liking it better as it warms. Finishes with a light bitterness & citrus.
Feel is.....almost non-existent, it becomes one with the palate. Straining to describe it : very smooth, obviously, with very, very fine carbonation , with just a little tingle on the finish. Seems like very fresh beer, on tap, straight from the brite tank .
Overall : Liking it !
