Looks like it was brewed specifically for the Whole Foods. Orange color. Average , white head. Not very piney at all . The aroma of malt and tropical fruits with mild piney notes. Balanced taste with decent, hoppy bitterness and sweet, malty background.

12oz. bottle into a Surly teku.

Looks like a NE IPA. Aroma is tree sap, resin, amber and perfume. Grassy, like I'm hiking through the forest. The flavor profile of this beer holds nothing back. Super resiny and piney. Grass, bark and more pine in the middle. Resin and sap sweetness throughout. I appreciate how forward the profile is but I'm not a fan of these flavors. Body is medium with moderate carbonation and a sticky, bone dry finish.

This is solid but its the exact flavor profile that I don't appreciate from an IPA. Decent brew, just not my cup of tea.

This was my favorite for more than a month; I emptied my local WF store; If I find it again, I'll take some pics. This had great bright smooth hops, but when I warm it up, as is my want, it changes considerably. Smooth, not too easy, full and bright at the same time. Very hard for me to find a brew that is satisfyingly hoppy, tasteful, not crazy hard on the stomach with bitterness, not watery, not typical. Too many IPA's these days are easy to confuse with each other. Def. not this one! Will get hard to find in the future. To me, an experienced beer sipper, this is unique, as it should be.

A hazy yellow orange color with a fingers worth of white head that dissipates quickly to leave a thin layer of lacing. Smell is of pine, juniper berries, and light citrus. Taste is similar though pretty subdued. Not sure how old the bottle is. Medium body, mellow carbonation. Overall hard to judge without tasting it fresh, not my favorite from Ithaca.

Juniper berries, decent rye, ends with slight citrus flavors. However the flavors do not quite mesh and the juniper berries are an odd inclusion. A mild miss for Ithaca.
