Brewed with 4 different grasses (barley, wheat, oats, and rye) for a refreshing, enjoyable "Grass"roots IPA with lots of late hopping for boosted flavor and aroma. This beer captures the juiciness of hops, without becoming overly bitter, and the malt provides a subtly complex, yet quenching sweetness. The unique hop bill plays together like the many bands at Grassroots - jammin'.

L: Hazy, translucent, almost opaque golden orange with an enormous frothy white head. Medium-long retention. A foamy film remains, leaving lots of soapy lacing.
S: Pineapple, guava, strawberry, rhubarb, grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach.
T: Pineapple, peach, lemon, grapefruit, guava, lemongrass, pink bubblegum. Cracker, toasted white bread, hay, and a faint hit of peppery rye. Finishes lightly dry and fairly clean, with a moderate lingering lemon peel bitterness.
F: Medium-light, well carbonated, lightly dry, with a lingering sticky resin.
O: An excellent NE-style, multigrain low-abv pale ale. Chock full of hoppy flavor, juicy, bitter, and easy-drinking. A real winner from Ithaca here.

8/26...brewery draft. Pours medium dark bronze, heavy white foam clings high in the glass. Grapefruit, hold pine aroma. Creamy bitter mouthfeel. Heavy bitter, but then smooth. Tasty.
