12 oz bottle

Pours slightly hazy golden, sugar white head slowly dissipates to a lacing.

Smells of sweet cereal and biscuit malts with a grassy undertone.

Flavor is of cereal, coppery barley malt, light citrus and lemongrass. Mild dry hop aftertaste.

Light to medium body, stinging carbonation.

Solid highly drinkable lager. Nothing more, nothing less. Definite session candidate.

Pours a beautiful clear gold with an off white head that quickly disapates.

Fairly clean nose with malted bread notes a floral bouquet backed by a slight lemon citrus.

Taste follows nose with a nice malty bread notes followed by lemon citrus, floral notes and a touch of grass. Very clean and crisp. A nice helles.

This was poured into a lager glass. The appearance was golden color with a sly transparency to it. Carbonation seems to ride at a nice pace. Paper thin white cap of a head. Light stringy lacing. The aroma starts with some sweet bready to biscuity maltiness. Light grassiness coming from the German hops serves to balance nicely. The flavor balances the crisp sweet maltiness to blend nicely with the sweet grassy hops. Quick semi-sweet biscuity aftertaste with the same finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionable smooth sweet crisp feel over my tongue. Carbonation seems fairly low yet good. Overall, well done Dortmunder that I would have again.

Great looking beer, very clear, with nice white head, decent lacing. Smell is malt, light agent yeast, very ight flower and spice. Taste follows the nose, with a pleasant malty sweetness. Feel is great, smooth and drinkable. A great drinkable beer

Pours a clear straw color with a one inch, short lived white head that left a little spotty lacing. Smells of mild hops and bread, not much to the aroma. Taste is bready, slight honey sweetness and a grassy hop quality. Light, crisp and refreshing, slightly bitter. Good, not great.

Dull orangish-yellow in color with a heavy haze. Poured with a short, creamy, bright white foam with good retention. Medium pilsner malt aroma with bready and herbal hops note notes. Medium light bodied with medium light carbination and light creamy feel. Medium malty flavor up front with a medium, crisp hop bitterness through the middle. No hop flavor. Bitterness continues from the middle to the end. Finished semi-dryly with light malty notes and a heavy lingering bitterness. Way too bitter for the style.

On tap at Bonds Tavern in West Orange. Pours a golden, hazy hue with minimal frothing. Nondescript, faint aroma with hints of straw and honey. Mellow flavor. Not recommended.

This has become my go-to lager in NY. I can always find it at Trader Joe's for a cheap price and the flavor is so on point.

Feel is smooth with enough bitterness and prickly feel to keep my attention. Flavor is rich but restrained sweetness that makes me think of honey and grains mingling with a spicy hop flavor. In many ways this beer reminds me of Augustiner, which is the ultimate compliment.

Great beer.

This beer pours a crystal clear golden color with a one finger, loose white head. Retention and lacing are non existent.

Smell is not great. Buttery dough notes, toasted bread and the faintest bit of floral hops.

Taste is similar. The floral notes are a bit more present making this beer less malt forward than the smell suggests.

Feel is light and crushable. Decent carbonation but there could be more.

Overall an ok beer at best. The Buttery dough flavor is pretty unappealing to me, but it is less noticable in the taste than it is in the smell.

Has a golden color typical of a pils. Yeasty notes but otherwise very clean aroma. Bright hopiness with some well balanced maltiness and crisp dry finish with a hint of malt sweetness lingering behind. Very good representation of the style that hits all the hallmarks.
