Appearance: hazy orange in color with a 1/2" head.

Smell: tropical fruits are picked up in the aroma.

Taste: caramel, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, and an earthy bitterness.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp to start, less crisp and a bit dry late.

Overall: a mild mannered NE styled IPA. Not bad but nothing to shout home about.

Sample from the brewery. Pale amber in color with a slight haze, but nothing approaching the murkiest NEIPAs that are currently so popular. A gleaming white collar of foam quickly fades into almost nothing. The aroma starts with tangy peach and big citrus, particularly orange, with a suggestion of key lime in the background. Piney notes arrive as the beer warms, along with a trace of fusel alcohol.

Smooth and medium bodied, Naked Pilgrim is more drinkable than many of its hazy peers, but the mouthfeel may disappoint hardcore fans of the style. Flavor-wise, Ithaca doesn't shy away from old-school bitterness either. The taste of marmalade fades into a dry sandalwood character that carries through the finish. A good IPA, but one that doesn't quite fit in with the cool kids from New England.

Slightly hazy orangey-gold, with moderate, creamy-white head & lacing.

Aroma is resin,floral,dank/booze/solvent

Flavor follows aroma, pretty much, plus some tangerine rind/grapefruit/tropical fruit melange, and touch of grass. Light, barely-there biterness

Feel is very smooth and creamy, with a very light tingle on the finish.

Overall , not a jaw-dropper, but quite good, and easy-drinking. I'd hope Ithaca makes this a regular thing, not just one-a-year.
