On tap at Cole's last night.Poured a somewhat hazed lighter copper color with well defined 1/2 finger white head atop.Lightly toasted doughy aromas with faint grassy hops in the nose, the cascades are a little subdued.I loved the fresh malty flavors of the beer, somewhat grainy and dough-like with mild sweetness, the cascades came into play in the finish lending some grassy-pine notes. It tasted as fresh as all get out, although Iam a hophead it was the malt flavors that made me really like this beer.

Pours a clear toasted straw color with a small but dense white head that left a nice ring and some sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is not super strong; it has a bready characteristic with some light grapefruit hops. Nice aroma just not that strong. The taste has more of a hop presense; there is some grapefruit with a touch of resin. This is paired with a bready malty that has some light fruity notes and honey. The feel is moderate with enough carbonation to give it an edge; finishes bitter. For a "harvest" or "wet" hop ale, this is quite tame. I expected to get a blast of fresh buddy hops but the flavor was subdued which brought out the bitter aspect of the hop, though it is really not that bitter. Much better "harvest" APA's out there.

This is their Wet Hop ale and it was very good.

Good pale color with a very good but not overwhelming hop aroma. Carbonation is very good, a little fizzy, and the flavor and mouthfeel are great. I'm not a huge fan of this brewery but this is one of my favorites.

Lower Depths Boston.

A- Draft pour to a hexagonal tumbler with a very pale yellow body and a slight haziness. Thick and creamy head is over a finger with good retention dropping large sheets of lacing.

S- Fairly tame nose with hops taking a slight central position in the aroma. Those hops are citrus, earthy, floral and herbal grassy in nature. Cracker, bready and slight grainy sweetness.

T- Orange, grapefruit, floral, spicy, earthy and dank herbal hops up front gaining some clout compared to the nose. Balance is provided by a cushion of pale grains and yeast. The latter two donate biscuit, cracker, bread and pale fruit esters.

MF- Body of medium thickness coming down on the taste buds with a creamy and silky consistency. Moderate carbonation and extra smooth. Grassy light bitter finish.

Hop focused with citrus and floral notes up front balanced by pale malts and slight yeasty tones. Very easy drinker and all around pleasant with a small gripe about a white grape ester opening up later on.

64oz swingtop growler. filled nov 22/09 at consumers in buffalo, sampled nov 25th.

pours crystal clear deep yellow with a huge fluffy off-white head. the head drops very slowly and leaves a thick and intricate pattern of lace as it falls.

aroma is good. light alcohol. whole wheat bread and biscuit. bit of cracker. big hoppy nose. floral and slightly grassy. earthy. light orange, grapefruit, and piney notes in the background. touch of caramel.

taste is nice. a touch of caramel sweetness. bit of honey. grassy and slightly floral hops. earthy. light alcohol. medium-low bitterness level. whole wheat bread. bit of biscuit and cracker.

mouthfeel is good. light bodied. medium carbonation level.

drinkability is great. nice balance. fairly straightforward. tasty and enjoyable. i'd have liked a little more hop presence, even if it's just an APA and not an IPA, but enjoyed it none the less.

Cloudy pale gold color with a bit of a greenish hue. Rich lasting head. Leaves a blanket of lace.

Fresh hop pellet aroma. Like really fresh -- reminds me of grinding a hop flower.

Excellent pale malt start to the taste with a very pleasant fruity hop touch in the swallow. The aftertaste is balanced and delicious. A really great representation of what I expect from a superb APA. Rich body with ample carbonation. This is a reach for another type of beer.

The beer pours a hazy golden color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is awesome! It has the freshest hop aroma of any beer I've ever had. It's refreshing and well balanced with a solid pale malt aroma. The taste is great! It has a very smooth pale malt flavor that takes a back seat to a very aggressive hop flavor. This is some hop experience. The freshness is outstanding. The mouthfeel is good. It is a medium/full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a damn good drinker. It's not an alcohol bomb. It's just a great APA; a perfect seesion beer for hop heads.
