An Oktoberfest or Marzen style lager. An elegant, malty German amber lager with a clean, rich, toasty and greasy malt flavor, restrained bitterness, and a dry finish.

On tap at Ithaca Beer Company in Ithaca, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark brown color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This one smells a bit too sweet for the style, and doesn't have a lot of hop character on the nose for something named a "hoptoberfest."
This isn't bad or anything, but it's a little bit too sweet for the style. It's honestly fine that the hop character isn't all that elevated, as I wouldn't exactly want that anyway, but it does bear noting that this supposed to be a hoppy marzen, and it isn't, really.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and pretty drinkable, with a nice smooth finish.
This is fairly forgettable in the end, but I didn't hate it.
