Darker gold color. Clear. Modest head which leaves a smattering of streaks and spots.
The smell is not smoky but more like a traditional Oktoberfest. Deeper toasted malt with a bit of soured mash thrown in.
Again, the taste is largely a straight up Oktoberfest. The finish is dryer than expected. There’s a white toast quality to the initial sip. Overall, it’s a very good Festbier.
