Got this at MacGregor's Perinton. House beers are insanely cheap before 7 o clock! This came to me with a very very small head. Looked kind of unhealthy compared to other witbiers i have had, kinda swampy. Very hazy yellow. Aroma was nice and simple, citrusy and sweet. The taste is quite nice, not as wheatiness as i would have expected but still good. The spices were light pumpkin pieish spices. Not as complex as i would have expected but this is a good thirst quencher.

Pours a hazy, cloudy pale orange yellow into my pint glass, with a white head that lasts a few minutes before dissolving into a thin lace. Aroma of Breakfast Cocktail Pineapple Orange juice from a can (haven't had that in 30 years but the memory came screaming back) with hints of ginger and coriander giving a slight bitterness to the aroma.

Starts out estery, with a typical Wit wheatiness, followed by spices and fruits enveloping the tongue. First the coriander hits with its slightly vegetal bitterness, then the orange and lemon come to visit. The ginger makes itself known more in the finish, with a clean spiciness that is really appetizing. Plenty of fruitiness (apricots, other tropicals) going on in the background. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel gives the tip of the tongue a tingle. I was going to give the drinkability a 4, but as it's 80 degrees and sunny outside it gets bumped as this is an excellent summer thirst quencher, provided the spicing (not typical Wit, but more complex and fruity) is to your liking.

Nice effort.

Growler from the brewery. I think it was called Dim Wit, same difference though. I was told it was around the same abv as Ithaca's Apricot Wheat which is 4%. Brewed with coriander, orange peel, lemon peel, and ginger which explains the interesting aroma. Aroma is high in spices, I'd say equal coriander and ginger. Big, creamy, bright white colored head that eventaully faded to a ring. Hazy straw colored beer. Light zesty citrus, a bit of pale malt/wheat, and some spice in the flavor. Nice and balanced. Mouthfeel is moderate and the finish is light, but not dry. Lots of spice in this one so it may turn some off, I'm not a big fan, but it's a decent beer.
