Copenhagen 11/6 2018. 50 cl ceramic bottle with swing cap from Vinbørsen, Nordre Frihavnsgade, Kbh. Ø. A lion hugging a shield saying "13%" on the label. Seems to be pretty preoccupied by the fact that this is an "Extraordinary Strong Beer".
Pours murky amber with a small white head. Disappears almost immediately. Small fragments flowing around near the bottom. Settles as a lonely island of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is sharp, chemical and boozy. Sweet caramel, acetone and something resembling hard alcohol.
Soft carbonation bordering on being flat. Soft, oily texture. a little bit sticky.
Flavor is heavy sweet with an harsh edge to it from the high ABV. Moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering.
A boozy bed fellow in a charming bottle. Very sweet on the verge of being cloying. But is you like getting drunk in the company of a ceramic bottle this might be the thing for you.

Smells like molasses and chocolate, taste is sweet, dried fruits, but appearance and mouthfeel are lacking. No head and very little carbonation, and the mouthfeel is watery for a doppelbock. Sweetness hides the high alcohol content.
