Short tap pour in a tulip glass. Served chilled.
Dark brown colored body. Persistent khaki colored head. Leaves behind a partial ring and scattered spots of lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, with a little char, and pine resin hops.
Taste is roasted malts, with both a little sweetness and a touch of char. The resin hops appear later and then later combine with the malts to create a bitter end that lingers.
More than medium mouth feel. Dry finish. Good carbonation.
Gives an impression of dark coffee, pine needles, and a touch of dark chocolate and caramel. Wide swing from sweet to bitter.
