maybe hands down the best hoppy beer i had in scotland, fully modern, so good, awesome label art, soft and easy, great hop profile and brilliant proportions, my first and only from these guys while i was there, but a standout for sure, and something that would play in california or washington or vermont or wherever good hoppy beer is being made in the states, its that good. consistently hazy on the pour from first splash to last drop, with a nice lasting white head and a low pale yellow glow, this looks great, lively enough, not sloppy on the haziness or sedimented, and the nose is baller, orange creamsicle, vanilla for sure, cantaloupe and tangerine, fruity and dry hoppy, low bitterness, no greenness, amazing freshness, terpene forward but not forced, nothing really from the ferment there, just good ingredients and technique, and the flavor follows with big cooked pear, green grape, and white peach notes, fruity and distinctive, what hops are in this?! man this is nice, mango and apricot up front, lemongrass and jasmine, a touch weedy like fruity grapey sativa, oily for a flash, but light and even gentle overall on the palate, bubbly but not too much, yellow cake and vanilla bean finish but only a touch sweet, papaya and guava and melon, orange and lemon, just enough grain. really impressive beer from a brewery i had never heard of before, would drink this one again and again, very well done. put these guys on the map, got to source more of their stuff...
