Appearance: Arrives with a hazy amber color and a modest cap; a few strands of lace are left
Smell: Fruity, bready and slightly herbal; earthy bitter tones
Taste: Opens bready, with developing fruit flavor; the mid-palate brings on an earthy bitterness that combines with an herbal element; the finish leans bitter
Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation
Overall: I don't often come across an American brewery making a true English bitter; this is about as good as it gets
