Pours pitch black with a finger of loosely formed mocha head.
Smells of dark roasted malts, burnt sugars, and a touch of coffee(maybe just the dark roast).
Taste follows with the roastiness, toffee, caramel, also getting some bitter chocolate.
Medium bodied, good carb level. Smooth.
Overall a pretty tasty stout, especially to be a 5%er.

16 ounce can dated 8/24/18. Poured into tulip.
Blackest pour, mocha head of 1/2” but receding quick. No light penetrates. Spotty lacing.
Big nose of burnt coffee, caramel, heavy roast, a touch of char. Even smaller touch of vanilla.
Much of the samefor taste Roast cereal grains, char/ash, caramel, bit of licorice, bit of vanilla.
Quite a bit thinner than I like but so much flavor, especially for a 5% abv beer.
This would be a constant in my fridge if available.

Thanks to thebeers for this one from NBS BIF #8. 16oz can poured into 14oz tulip. Poured a solid black color with about 1/3 inch of tan head that had moderate retention and light lacing.
The aroma had nice roast up front with nice grains in the background. Very similar on the tongue, good grain and roast, with a slight yeast tang on the end.
The body was a touch thinner than I prefer in the style, but was still nicely drinkable. Overall, a nice example of the style. Worth trying if you see it.

L - 1-finger mocha head atop a pitch black body.

O - tons of flavor for a 5% brew. Tempted to hoard the other cans I have.

Motor oil black with a fat finger of mocha-colored head that's quick to dissipate. Modest lacing.
Chocolate and strong roasted malts in the aroma.
The taste follows the nose with a hint of umami as well. Dry finish, like an Irish stout. Bitter aftertaste with chocolate and earthy hops.
Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Good stuff.
