One of the worst gushers I’ve ever encountered. The beer that did make it to the glass is hazy gold with a large, rocky, off-white head. Super thick, cappuccino foam lacing.
Light word, light cheese and light lemon tartness in the nose. Fairly dry and clean smelling.
The taste follows, but with less cheesy funk than the nose implied. It’s more light wood and light lemon.
Medium bodied with very lively, albeit soft, carbonation.
The gushing annoyed me, but this is an excellent beer overall. Well balanced. Understated, yet firm. Would pair excellently with a cheese plate, pasta, deli sandwich or a thousand other meals.
