Dark ruby-tinted brown with a finger of khaki-colored head. Modest retention gives way to sheets of lacing.
Dark brown malt aroma: walnuts, well-done biscuits, chocolate, coffee, leather.
The malt retains many of the same characteristics in the taste, but a bit sweeter here, balanced by a mildly bitter, slightly coffee-like finish.
Medium bodied, lightly creamy with tight carbonation.
Absolutely delicious.

5 Liter "Cask at Home" bag in a box.
the beer is clear dark brown in color some ruby colored highlights. gravity pour from the spout of the bag, similar to boxed wine. the pour creates foamy big bubbles of head that fade fairly quickly. so unfortunately not like a hand pumped pint from a beer engine with a sparkler. pleasant aroma of toasted bread, cola, brown sugar, black tea, a touch of licorice. similar flavors in the taste, starts sweet but finishes drier with a bit of an herbal earthy finish. thin to medium bodied, lower carbonation from the cask conditioning.
