I'm sad it's not purple but it is an incredible barrel aged saison!

This one pours a slightly hazy golden orange color, with a fluffy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like stone fruit, herbal oak tones, white pepper, bready and starchy sweetness, and lime.
I would love to try this one alongside Suarez Afield, another sweet potato wild ale that I really loved. The barrel on this one is tremendous, funky, fruity, and oaky, and plays well against the starchy and earthy sweetness of the sweet potatoes and squashes.
This is medium bodied, with a pleasant but not overwhelming sweetness, and a mild balancing acidity.
Forest and Main make some of the best saisons in the country, and I don’t drink them enough.
