Under a New Sun - 5% Pale Ale. Our market research department found that people respond well when we put the word “Sun” in a beer’s name, no matter how many times we do it; so here we go. We brewed this purpy with barley and oats; hopped with tons of Nelson Sauvin and Comet, and for a bit of a change, fermented it nice and cool with our Kolsch yeast. The cooler fermentation temperature lends itself to a delicate fruit character of maybe some gentle Asian pears, allowing the malt and hop notes to shine forward with things like yellow kiwis, lemon sparkling water, medium rare white toast, and white grape juice. A solid crusher.
