Second Sight - 6% West Coast IPA.

Brewed with 2 Row barley and hopped with tons of Citra and Mosaic.

This one just feels like a well dialed in, mellow, hoppy West Coaster. Citra and Mosaic are just kind of fool-proof, giving notes of ripe berries, tangerines, peach danish, apple strudel, and some comforting square crackers.

Pours medium amber, no haze old school look. Nice citrus (berries and a little orange) with a dank finish. ABV at 6% is dialed in for an easy drinker. Good job by Forest and Main worth a try if looking for a WCIPA.

The entire contents of a pint can were emptied into a clear glass liter mug. A properly sized off-white head was formed. Beneath it, a brightly and very lightly colored honey-amber liquid, that's almost translucent, rests. Its aroma is faint, giving only a whiff of malt and hops. The taste is also light, yet in a proper West Coast IPA form. There isn't much malt to the taste, although it's sweet enough. It's contribution to the mouthfeel is more than adequate. The dryly piney hops dominate the flavor, especially during the finish. To a hop-head, the bite is bitter, but not too much so. Overall, this tastes and feels much like what should be expected from a West Coast IPA. There's enough glass lacing to offer proof that the body is good. It may not be outstanding in the category, but it's a good one.

16 oz can

Pours clear golden yellow color, white head. Aroma of citrus rind and a bit of dank pine. Similar taste, pleasantly firm bitterness. Crisp. Thin to medium bodied.

Pours a nice clear amber yellow with a good amount of white head that sticks around. Aroma is bright and floral with sweet malt and cracker. Taste is very hop forward, bitter, floral, earthy and slightly fruity. Feel is light and clean. Overall this is a real nice WCIPA that I would drink again.

Nice and clear on tap, amber color with a firm head of foam that lasted, and pasted itself on the walls of the glass.
Aroma is balanced citrus and melon with sugary malt sweetness.
The flavor is solidly pale ale-y not quite an IPA in depth but well balanced malt sweet to hop bitterness.
Body is light for style and somewhat fizzy on the tongue but not "bad" in any way.
A decent baby IPA at 6% but not one I'd seek out again.

16oz can. No dating information found; the label advises "KEEP COLD - DRINK FRESH".
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of dense white head with the pour, and this very slowly retreats to a pillow top cap and extended ring. Leaves behind extensive interrupted wall lacing. Surface foam rides down to the last sip.
Aroma is fragrant with orange, grapefruit, blueberry, peach, and a mellow tone of hop resin (pine).
Taste is well balanced among the sweet toasted malts, the fruit sweet hops, and the resolute bitterness. Flavors are fruity and earthy - orange, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, blueberry, peach, and with a swaying pine bough. Aftertaste stays earthy and herbal, with grapefruit pith.
More than medium mouthfeel. A little sticky but gets dry at the end. Provides a steady level of bitterness. Excellent carbonation.
Lacks body clarity, but hits other West Coast IPA attributes - good malt base that balances the hop load, medium but dense bitterness, fully realized hop expressions. Aftertaste is to be experienced.
