We’re really in love with this Czech-style half dark lager; brewed with a decoction mash of Pilsner malt, Caramunich, brown malt, dark crystal, and roasted barley; hopped entirely with Czech Saaz; fermented slow and cold with our lager yeast; and conditioned for many weeks under a naturally built carbonation.
The beer simultaneously has a rich malty fullness, and a quick ethereal dryness that encourages you to quickly have another gulp (perhaps our most favourite quality of a beer). We’re getting notes of sweet plum skins, toasted multigrain bread, herbal bouquets, some hippy oat cereal, and a timelapse of grapes turning to raisins.

Released January 2026; drank 3/26/26 @ the Yarchives.
See-through orange/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice, noisy eggshell-colored head; strong lacing remained.
Acorn, mineral water & mild caramel notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Acorn & faint orange peel flavors; mineral water & faint baking soda notes on the finish.
Low ABV but with a lot of flavor; the notes are interesting but it's not a beer I'd look for every day. Good, not great.

On draft at the brewery, served via side pull faucet, in mug
Clear dark amber color, creamy layer of white head. Pleasant aroma of toasted bread crust. Similar taste, with a dry finish. Smooth feel.
